Hi, I'm Aimable Mugabo

I am Aimable Mugabo, an artist from Rwanda currently based in Poland, where I am also a student. My artistic practice spans a variety of medium, including paintings and paper crafts. I focus on techniques and materials that allow my artworks to reflect a balance between beauty and imperfection, often blending abstract concepts with storytelling.

My works are known for their tactile quality and meticulous finish, evoking a sense of nostalgia while pushing the boundaries of how we perceive beauty through color, shape, and texture. Instead of presenting a concrete reality, I strive to create illusions that invite the viewer into the realm of imagination.

In addition to my artistic work, I am deeply committed to environmental conservation. By repurposing recycled materials like newspapers and blending them with modern design techniques, I create unique handmade crafts that serve as decorative pieces or functional home items. Through this process, I contribute to environmental sustainability by giving new life and value to discarded materials, one step at a time.
